Concept
A charming Parisian-inspired boutique bakery where classical European elegance meets the historic bohemian spirit of Zamalek.
Classical pastel facades, fluted pilasters, and arched fabric awnings frame an inviting pedestrian street presence.
Patterned monochrome flooring, brass bakery displays, and sculptural amber glass chandeliers create an artisanal culinary sanctuary.
Project Gallery
Located in the heart of historic Zamalek, Fluckiger revives the romanticism of early twentieth-century European street bistros within Cairo’s cosmopolitan fabric. The exterior presence makes an immediate statement with soft pastel hues, decorative plaster moldings, fluted classical pilasters, and scalloped canvas awnings. Curbside outdoor benches and delicate bistro tables activate the tree-lined sidewalk, welcoming patrons into a tactile threshold that honors Zamalek’s architectural heritage.
Inside, the spatial journey blends vintage charm with refined luxury craftsmanship. Bold geometric black-and-white tiled floors ground the space, complemented by sage-green wainscoting and framed botanical gallery walls. Custom multi-tiered brushed brass display racks showcase artisanal pastries alongside warm wood millwork, while organically blown amber glass chandeliers cast a warm, golden ambiance across the dining tables. Every detail celebrates intimate neighborhood hospitality, turning daily coffee and bakery visits into an evocative sensory ritual.
